A university’s viewbook is one of the main recruitment tools for new students and, over the course of five years, I designed many of them.
The undergraduate viewbook would usually set the style for most of the year’s recruitment and marketing literature. Sometimes it would be an incremental update from the previous year’s design, while other years would require a complete redesign.
It was also a major driver of new photography, with many aspects of the long-term photography plan linked to anticipated faculty shoot requirements.
In addition to the undergraduate book, each year we would also create thematically-linked books for postgraduate studies, international students and college-to-university course applicants.
