Ontario Universities Fair Booth

If the viewbook is one of the main recruitment tools for the university, the annual Ontario Universities Fair (OUF) is the main event for attracting new students.

Held each September at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, it provides an opportunity for prospective students to get a taste of what it feels like to be at UOIT. With this in mind, in 2014 the Registrar’s Office (RO) commissioned an exhibit company to create a new booth that truly reflected the modern look and feel of the north Oshawa campus.

I was tasked with designing the panels and other elements that would link the new environment to the university’s brand, using bold, abstract graphics that I had introduced in environmental graphics across campus. Each faculty had their own area, with large student portraits, lab and program hero-shots, and selective use of the AODA-compliant faculty colour palettes that I had developed when I started at the university.
